Ingredients
450g rolled oats

1 tbsp golden syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
This combination makes for a chewy and perfectly sweet flapjack that can be enjoyed any time of day. Bonus: it's quick to make!
Method
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking tin, ideally around 20x30 cm.
In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter, caster sugar, and golden syrup together. Stir continuously until completely melted.
Remove the pan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Add the rolled oats to the melted mixture, combining thoroughly until all the oats are coated.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking tin, pressing it down firmly into an even layer.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on the edges.
Once done, let it cool in the tin before cutting it into squares or bars.
Your flapjacks should now be golden, chewy, and oh-so-delicious!
